Starting Point 2025
Starting Point is a special Kids Church event where children take meaningful steps in their faith—through discipleship, the baptism in the Holy Spirit, and water baptism—in a safe, supportive setting with their parents and Kids Church teachers.
Who It’s For
Starting Point 2025 is for kids ages 8 to 12 who are ready to grow in their relationship with Jesus. It’s designed as a whole-day experience, so families can set aside the time to participate without rushing.
Parents and Kids Church teachers journey with the children throughout the day, so it’s not just an event for kids—it’s a family and ministry moment together.
What Happens on the Day
The day is built around three main parts:
Discipleship classes — Age-appropriate sessions that help kids understand what it means to follow Jesus, read the Bible, pray, and live as part of the church. The content is clear, engaging, and geared for 8–12 year olds.
Holy Spirit baptism — A time for kids to be prayed for and to receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit in a safe, respectful environment. Leaders and parents are there to support and explain what this step means.
Water baptism — Kids who are ready can take the step of water baptism as a public declaration of their faith. Parents and Kids Church teachers are involved so the decision is made with guidance and support.
Why a Whole Day?
A full day allows space for teaching, questions, worship, prayer, and response without feeling rushed. Kids and parents can focus, connect with other families, and let the Holy Spirit lead without the pressure of a short program.
